Day 29 - Melrose to Milaca

Today we continued to ride on the Lake Wobegon Trail.  It is fantastic, and the weather was good, except for strong winds out of the south.  The winds were tiring, especially in the afternoon.  We went through a number of small communities over the last two days.  Here's how many:
The trail was so much better than riding on the road and watching for cars all the time.  We were on it for around 100 miles.

Towards the end of our time on the trail we encountered a covered bridge.

We often try to have second breakfast somewhere along the road.  Today there was a very unique restaurant right near the trail.  It catered to bicyclists as you can tell from the entrance.  We were talking with a lady and her kids on our way to a table, and she was very interested in our ride.  Come to find out she paid for all our breakfasts.  We don't even know her name, but I'm sure she was an angel.
One final picture of the day.  Bill often stops to talk to the locals.  Today he sat down by one and took a selfie with him.  I'm not sure if he got his name.
They look like they might be related.

  1. What fun to be on the Lake Wobegon Trail. That restaurant and a covered bridge! Priceless memories.
