Day 24, 25, 26 Little Yellowstone RV Park, Fargo, Pelican Rapids - We're in Minnesota - "Don't ya know?"

Day 24 - Napoleon to Little Yellowstone RV Par was a difficult day.  If you don't remember, we rode over 105 miles the day before and on Wednesday we rode another 97.  So we rode an STP type two days.  One very noteworthy event occurred.  Terry, Steve and Tim realized that on this day they would ride more than the 1580 miles of the first Epic Adventure from Fort Collins, Co. to Carnation, Wa. in 2008.  So to mark the "milestone" we erected an Ebenezer.

Also on Wednesday, we had to have the sag wagon provide lunch.  We were hot, tired, thirsty and hungry by the time we pulled up to the "Rig" as we call it.  And there to meet us was this very encouraging greeting.

Day 25 - We woke up pretty early because we wanted to get to Fargo even though we didn't have very far to go, only about 75 miles.  We were lucky to have the tents all packed up before 8 because at 8:05, we experienced a good Midwest thunder storm.  For a full hour there was nonstop lightning and a steady rumble of thunder.  The rain drops were huge and they fell hard.  The wind blew the rain straight across.  It was so dark the street lights came back on.

We waited out the storm and by 10:30 we were on the road.  It was nice to see the Fargo Water Tower.

Day 26 - Don't ya know, we made it to Minnesooota.  After a restful night in a park along the Red River, we finally crossed the river into Minnesota.  We are hoping to see Sven and Olie and are brushing up on our Minnesotan.  Oh boy, are we havin' a good time.  Today we encountered Blue Bunny Ice Cream just in time for second breakfast.  Minnesota is a really nice place, don't ya know, and there are a lot of lakes here too.

Tonight we're in Pelican Rapids.  You'll remember Salem Sue from a few posts ago. Today we encountered Pelican Sam.  We think he might be the largest pelican in the world.
